Lake Trangis and the tree-lined park
South of town, Lake Trangis, bordered by a peaceful park, offers an ideal spot for a picnic for two. Walking paths, ducks and tall trees form a green bubble five minutes from the centre. On Sundays, families and sweethearts meet here. It is also one of the favourite starting points for a shared jog or a quiet bike ride.
Fougères Wood and the Long Buisson paths
To the west, the Fougères Wood unfolds its shady forest paths, enjoyed by hikers and mountain bikers. A little further on, the Long Buisson leisure base at Guichainville offers a lake, fishing, games and vast grassy areas. An afternoon in the green flies by: walking, swimming, a picnic basket laid on a blanket and endless chat.
City gardens and the Iton banks
Right in the heart of Évreux, the Town Hall Gardens offer a flowery break between errands, perfect for an improvised coffee. The banks of the Iton, winding through the whole town, can be walked all the way to the Navarre district. On Lyad, members from Évreux share their favourite walks and green corners; it is up to you to find someone to follow them with.
